Job Description

A vertically integrated high-growth, omni-channel consumer goods enterprise is seeking an experienced Chief Marketing Officer to architect the commercial expansion, modernize operational infrastructure, and guide the brand through its next phase of market scale. The CMO will integrate Brand Strategy, Creative Production, Product Development, and Digital Commerce into an unified, high-performing growth organization.

The ideal executive blends visionary brand storytelling with quantitative marketing rigor and a forward-looking mastery of how emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence—are reshaping consumer behavior and modern operational workflows. This leader must balance enterprise-level strategic foresight with an energetic, hands-on commitment to execution alongside an agile, high-caliber team.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Architecture & Strategic Positioning

  • Formulate and govern the global marketing vision, brand narrative, and annual operating budgets in strict alignment with broader enterprise revenue milestones.
  • Cultivate a distinct, defensible brand voice and positioning strategy—incorporating modern, tech-forward touchpoints—across all customer-facing channels.
  • Harness consumer research, market segmentation, and competitive landscape intelligence to uncover untapped market segments and maximize customer lifetime value.

Omni-Channel Commerce & Digital Acquisition

  • Spearhead full-funnel digital acceleration—overseeing acquisition, conversion rate optimization, and retention—across direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels, third-party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon), and social commerce platforms.
  • Direct high-impact performance initiatives spanning paid search, paid social, creator and affiliate ecosystems, CRM (email/SMS), search engine optimization, and retail media networks.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Wholesale and Commercial Sales teams to design cohesive retail activations that drive both sell-in distribution and retail sell-through.

Data Infrastructure, Analytics & Applied AI

  • Architect scalable marketing operational systems: tech-stack integration, automated data pipelines, multi-touch attribution, and standardized functional playbooks.
  • Institute real-time executive dashboarding across core operational metrics (e.g., CAC, ROAS, LTV, conversion, and repeat rates) to inform performance-driven capital allocation.
  • Spearhead practical artificial intelligence implementation across content iteration, predictive audience insights, creative testing, and personalized customer journeys to enhance speed-to-market.

Product Marketing & Creative Direction

  • Provide high-level guidance over creative vision, brand identity, and the asset-generation pipeline that powers multi-channel consumer campaigns.
  • Oversee commercial launch strategies and product go-to-market roadmaps, translating market insights into actionable briefs for international R&D and packaging design teams.

Team Development & Operational Stewardship

  • Lead, inspire, and scale a multi-disciplinary organization encompassing Brand, Creative, Product, and eCommerce; establish clear organizational hierarchies, performance targets, and KPIs.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO, delivering clear reporting on commercial KPIs, market opportunities, and budget effectiveness.
  • Manage agency partnerships, external production houses, and influencer networks, enforcing rigorous standards for vendor ROI and performance accountability.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including 5+ years leading cross-functional teams in high-growth settings.
  • Sector Expertise: Demonstrated track record scaling a multi-channel consumer brand within fast-moving consumer goods (CPG), lifestyle, personal care, fashion, or related consumer categories.
  • Analytical Command: Proven background building data frameworks, tracking commercial unit economics, and dynamically allocating marketing capital using advanced attribution models.
  • Systems Architecture: Demonstrated ability to institutionalize workflows, operational playbooks, and modern martech infrastructure within a rapidly expanding company.
  • Emerging Technology Fluency: Practical experience implementing AI tools across marketing operations, coupled with a defined perspective on tech-driven shifts in consumer habits.
  • Commerce Background: Deep operational familiarity with both direct-to-consumer (DTC) digital storefronts and major marketplace ecosystems (e.g., Amazon).
  • Cross-Functional Fluency: Demonstrated history of managing or partnering closely with industrial/product design and in-house creative teams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Mindset: An entrepreneurial operator who leads with data, demonstrates resilience under pressure, and brings genuine enthusiasm for modern consumer culture.

Preferred Credentials

  • Prior leadership in fast-moving, trend-responsive consumer products or specialized personal care categories.
  • Career exposure spanning both structured, large-scale enterprise organizations and agile, high-growth operating environments.
  • Direct experience collaborating with overseas manufacturing, global supply chain, or offshore R&D partners.
  • MBA or relevant master's degree.
  • Bilingual proficiency supporting cross-border manufacturing or international corporate communications.

Compensation, Benefits & Culture

  • Compensation: Base salary range of $275,000 to $350,000 or more, alongside an annual corporate performance incentive.
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Premium medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Financial Security: 401(k) retirement plan with company match, plus employer-sponsored AD&D and life insurance.
  • Time Off & Balance: Paid time off (PTO), recognized corporate holidays, and hybrid flexibility.
  • Onsite Experience: High-energy corporate culture featuring collaborative working spaces, provided catered meals, recurring team-building outings, and access to premier industry conferences and market showcases.
