We are seeking a qualified Mate to assist in the safe and efficient operation of a vessel transporting passengers, cargo, and equipment in coastal and offshore waters. The Mate supports the Captain in navigation, vessel operations, and crew supervision while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include assisting with vessel navigation, maintaining ship logs, inspecting and maintaining safety and communication equipment, supervising housekeeping and vessel maintenance, and supporting scheduled vessel inspections. The Mate also plays a critical role in emergency response, including directing personnel during emergencies, administering first aid, and assisting with lifesaving operations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and crew leadership , including participation in company safety programs, proper use of PPE, and reporting of incidents or hazards.
